This property is made up of 2 parcels. One parcel contains most of the buildings and the other is mostly land, but together they equal approximately 13.7 to 15 acres. The buildings include a small house up front, a good size church, a couple of camping sites, a dorm building with individual rooms, a bath house, the mess hall, a second dorm building, a storage building, an old worship building, a maintenance building and a newer open dorm. Most buildings need makeovers, as they have not been used in years. Please read the write-up from the seller. Many years ago there were 2 places called Christian Pilgrim Campgrounds. One was in Montpelier, Indiana and the other was located in Vicksburg, Michigan. Montpelier closed many years ago, but they were ran by The Christian Pilgrim Religious organization. The Vicksburg Chirstian Pilgrim Campgrounds still stands today, although, it has not been used for many years for camp meetings, services are still held on Sunday morning for worship. In the mid 1950s about 15 acres were purchased from a local sawmill owner. The land was designated to be used for camp meetings. Many Christian Pilgrim Churches from Michigan, Indiana, along with people from Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio would gather together for 10 days to praise and worship God! As we, (I was very young when we came from Indiana) gathered to enjoy worshipping and growing in our faith many memories were made! From the young to the old all had something to do. There were games to be played for the young or just young at heart. Meal time, oh what time of good fellowship!! Then came time for the dishes to be washed! What stories could be told from there. Water on the floor, soap suds in your hair, now how in the world did that get there. Dishes were done mostly by the teens. Services to attend. Adult, children and youth. Then the evening service for all. This is where the younger ones could interact and watch their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles worship together. The singing, the testimonies, time of prayer (some of the older ones could pray heaven and earth together) and the preaching. If the ground could only talk! Now as the time has come to part with these15 acres our wish is that whomever purchases these acres to know there is no greater love than that found on the old rugged cross and that Love still makes a difference today!
